“AGAIN”, because it’s been over a decade since I’ve written on a blog. 

My intention is to share about what I’m doing or learning in my creative practice. My family, friends and art community are scattered across the states and the world. I’m a great distance from many of the people I’d most like to invite in for a studio visit. Nothing can replicate that experience, definitely not a blog, but I hope blog posts can stand between the curated selection of finished work posted on my website and my actual daily practice as an artist. 

FROM THE STUDIO in its simplest form is a log of my creative practice. It could also be a one-sided conversation that’s a version of what we’d talk about if you were here for a studio visit. I intend to stop myself from too much editing, to try staying true to the experience of walking into my workspace and seeing it completely, the good, the in-progress, and the ugly. And probably, my cat Chef, since she likes to sit nearby.
